Faunahope, Inc.
is a brand-new tax-exempt 501(c)3 non-profit organization, created to reduce animal suffering through individual and community action.
Our goal is to help 'fill the gaps' left by traditional animal shelters and animal assistance organizations, by providing medical services, spay-neuter programs, foster-family placement, adoption coordination services, and community volunteerism aimed at supporting animals in need, and those humans moved to help.
We are committed to placing animals in loving homes that are a good match for their needs, so our screening process for adoptive families is extensive. We also provide a wide range of post-adoption support services, to make the transition period as smooth as possible for both adoptors and adoptees.
Most of the creatures who cross our path are in the domestic-animal family, but we also work with veterinarians and wildlife rehabilitation centers in a volunteer capacity, when wild things need assistance. Abused, neglected, or rescued farm animals also fall under the Faunahope umbrella of compassionate assistance.
Faunahope supports any and all lifestyle choices targeting reduction of animal suffering, and works to raise public awareness of issues affecting animals such as veganism, anti-cruelty legislation, and local volunteer and activism opportunities.
We have no employees, low overhead, and nothing to spend contributions on other than direct animal care activities. If you like what we're trying to do, consider making a donation today -- any amount helps tremendously. And check back often: we're still under construction here, and things are taking off fast!
Welcome to the Faunahope community!
